Cedar Motor Court commenced trading in 1970, and was purchased by Robbie and Alan Baxter in 1988. It was at the beginning of the Japanese Import phenomenon. In 1990 we relocated to our present site at 73 North Road and trebled the size of that yard in 1998 with the purchase of Autoland. We have an extensive yard that can comfortably carry in excess of 200 cars. Stock levels are generally around 120 vehicles, offering a wide range of vehicles covering all price ranges. In 2003 Cedar Motor Court became ROBBIE BAXTER AUTOS. Japanese imports had been the focus of the business since 1988. We are one the few Southlanders who still travel to Japan on a regular basis to purchase our stock. With the experience of personally selecting 1000's of cars in Japan our stringent buying policy as to quality and authenticity makes it possible for ROBBIE BAXTER AUTOS to supply better quality cars at better prices. At ROBBIE BAXTER AUTOS we take pride in the presentation of over 120 vehicles at 73 North Road and are confident they are the best vehicles available at the right price. Our staff are knowledgeable and service-focused on our customers' needs, and there's a relaxed atmosphere with no 'hard-sell' In 2004 the opportunity was presented to obtain the Hyundai franchise for Southland. This was an exciting opportunity which the dealership has embraced. The Hyundai brand is going from strength to strength and is at the forefront of the technology required for the current environment. In 2006 a brand new workshop facility has been established offering a comprehensive service to our new Hyundai clients and existing used vehicle clients. In 2012 we redeveloped the dealership to accommodate the high standards Hyundai aspire to, with a new showroom and a revamped service department. The sales and service areas now flow much better as a result. We have taken on the Foton Tunland ute franchise in 2013. This offers exciting opportunities with competitively priced quality vehicles. This range of utes, manufactured in China with Cummins, Getrag and Bosch technology are making a positive contribution and we look forward to the future with this brand.
