The weather was only kind to the Central Motor Speedway for 10 races of the 21-race programe on Saturday. Catherine Pattison managed to snap a few shots before the rain set in and cancelled the evening's entertainment.

Drivesouth journalist Catherine Wellington spent some stages following the Silver Fern Rally from Dunedin to Timaru - capturing the skids, slides and dustclouds.

The Silver Fern Rally kicked off this morning in Christchurch and roared its way through Fairlie to Queenstown.

From pint size riders to teenage rippers, the motorbike-mad young ones were out in force in the Central Otago Under 13 Motocross Championships in Cromwell.

All national championship classes except the V8s Development Series and Production Racing Series wrapped up their 2007/2008 seasons at Teretonga Park on March 8 and 9.
